Goodbyes are never easy...

We were supposed to be going to ChengDu for shopping today, but due to a riot (march), roads were blocked and we weren't allowed to travel there due to safety reasons. It was such a last minute decision and it caused many unhappiness because many wanted to do a last minute shopping! In the end, we went to MianYang town, which i was quite excited over it because shopping in China is not my thing, i would rather go around exploring new places instead of doing shopping which could be done back in Singapore! MianYang is a nice place, a smaller scale ChengDu, with all the things we needed! The other exciting part about the trip is, we get to take a train to the city and their public buses to the shopping area! How cool is it for us to be taking a train to another city, all these would never happen in Singapore!

Also, while in the city, we encountered the protest on the street too! It was a one in a lifetime experience to be able to witness what would be mentioned in the news! Friends and family would be reading the news about the situation, where we are there watching it live! It was very chaotic towards the end whereby people start flipping Japanese-brand cars on the street as a protest of getting rid of Japanese products! Thank god that everyone was able to make it back to the school safe and sound.

Our last night in the campus was spent with the hairstylist, they threw a farewell party for us with amplifier and live band performance! I really appreciate their effort for making our last night in ChengDu so fun, after the life performance, we released fireworks once again, and this time round there were 2 shooting simultaneously! Right after the performances and fireworks, we blasted music along the street and we all dance along! I'm already starting to miss this place, i do not know when will be the next time i will be back in China, but i'm definitely going to remember this OIP trip!

PS:I really enjoyed this trip and i am sure that i would miss this place badly!
